The Westboro Baptist Church, AKA the fucking douchebags who protest the funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq, along with the funerals of homosexals, AIDS victims, Jerry Falwell and others, have been slapped with $10.9 MILLION in damages stemming from a lawsuit filed by the family of a marine who’s funeral they protested.
It’s sounding like it’s the end for the “real world GNAA“:
Defense attorney Jonathan Katz urged jurors not to award punitive damages because the $2.9 million in compensatory damages was already three times the defendants’ net worth.
“It’s enough already to bankrupt them and financially destroy them,” Katz said.
I say good riddance to bad garbage, despite how us at Rowtow.com may use terms like “gay” and “fag” in jest, we are 100% in support of gay rights and condemn the actions of the WBC. Also, what the fuck is up with the WBC hiring a Jewish lawyer? 1, aren’t like half of them lawyers and 2, don’t they hate Jews as well as gays?
